When you’re eating, do you quickly gobble down your meal, or do you savor every bite and truly focus on the flavors and enjoying your meal? When you make smarter choices regarding your health, you can live a more fulfilling and longer life.

Finances—How are your finances? How much money are you spending? Do you put away some money for unexpected emergencies, or do you tend to spend all your money at the beginning of the month? Think about what you’re spending your money on. Instead of eating fast foods or your daily coffee from Starbucks, it’s better to invest in healthy foods, prepare your own meals, and make your takeaway coffee before you leave for work.

Being conscious of others – Kindness costs nothing, but it can change a person’s day. Practice awareness when dealing with those around you – being kind and loving because you don’t know what they’re going through or what obstacles they’re facing.

Being Aware of Your Thoughts

Your mind is continuously creating thoughts. Do not get caught up in them; rather, observe them. What thoughts are going through your head – is it positive or negative?

There is no better pick-me-up than spending time outside and taking in everything around you. Truly being aware of what you see, smell, and hear. Nature has a soothing way of grounding you and helping you to be more aware of the present moment.
